A refreshing Latin drink, agua fresca is a non-alcoholic fruit drink that deliciously accompanies spicy Mexican fare or can be savoringly sipped to get a tasty break from the summer heat.
Mango Agua Fresca
Serves 8
Ingredients:
- 3 pounds firm-ripe mangoes, pitted, peeled, diced
- 4 cups fresh squeezed or 100 percent orange juice
- 4 to 5 cups water
Directions:
- In a blender or food processor, blend mangoes, orange juice, and water until pureed. (Do this in batches, if necessary.)
- Pour mango mixture into a pitcher and serve over ice.
